Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up or stay active through a pregnancy, we are equipped with lots of training gear to help you make the most of your in-home personal training. Our customized sessions will help you reach your fitness goals and make you feel amazing!

We service in-home and private training all over the South Bay, so if you are looking for a trainer who comes conveniently to the privacy of your own home, park or apartment gym, this may be a great option for you. The typical frequency is 2-3 times per week. Travel fees may apply.

Prenatal and Postnatal Personal Training is a safe and effective workout regimen customized for women who are prenatal, pregnant or postpartum. Creating a healthy and active lifestyle through exercise is a perfect way for women to have a healthy pregnancy, easy delivery and return to their normal lifestyle postpartum. As personal trainers who are certified in prenatal and postnatal training, we have lots of experience working with women in all different stages of motherhood. As your body makes changes, so will your training program. but the ultimate goal is to keep you healthy, energetic and pain-free throughout the course of your pregnancy and beyond.

Prenatal and Post Natal Personal Training focuses on strengthening the hip, pelvic and gluteal region while keeping excess weight gain to the normal limits. The ideal frequency for personal training for pregnancy is 2-3 times per week before pregnancy, during pregnancy, or 5-weeks after pregnancy. ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS PERSONAL TRAINER

Carrying extra weight on your body can be frustrating and uncomfortable.  If you have 10-70 lbs to lose and would like to commit to an exercise program that will get you results, we can lead you on the right path to success.  

Weight loss personal training starts with low impact exercises that will give you a fresh start on your quest to lose weight.  Building a baseline of pain-free mobility and functional strength is the initial goal. Then we progress to more moderate strength and cardiovascular training. Once we have a good foundation, we integrate high intensity circuit training. which is scientifically proven to increase your metabolic rate. This means you will continue to burn calories throughout the rest of your day.

Corrective Exercise

ABOUT CORRECTIVE EXERCISE PERSONAL TRAINER

If you are looking to improve your posture or to reverse the symptoms of a sedentary lifestyle, this type of exercise is for you. This type of training is actually a pre-requisite to all training programs that we provide.  

Corrective Exercise is intended to improve movement dysfunctions like asymmetries, postural imbalances and muscles imbalances. These dysfunctions can often lead to pain or injury. The goal is to regain full range of motion and stability in all joints. This is done with a combination of stretching and strengthening overactive and weak muscle groups. Eventually, through a consistent program your body will adapt to the proper pattern of movement.

To assess your movement patterns, we analyze your overhead squat, hip mobility, shoulder mobility, gait, hamstring flexibility, upper and lower body strength, core stability and hip hinge.  We test for signs of limited range of motion, overcompensation or pain. Based on the results, we implement corrective exercises for each imbalance. Within a couple weeks you should start feeling and seeing the difference in your mobility, stability and posture.  You will feel stronger, more aligned and aware of your muscles.

A kettlebell is a cast iron bowling-ball shaped weight with a handle, used for strength training and ballistic movements.  Kettlebells come in all different shapes and sizes and are very versatile.  

If you already have great mobility and want to spice up your routine, kettlebell training is a fun way to integrate unique, total body dynamic movements into your regimin.  We will teach you kettlebell cleans, swings, squats and snatches.  This is a great way to build your total body strength and power.  Other benefits of kettlebell training include better posture, coordination, and injury prevention.

If you are interested in kettlebell training as a beginner, we will teach you basic strength movements and progress you to more dynamic movements once you are ready.

WHAT IS CUPPING?

Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapeutic treatment used to loosen and relieve sore muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  It also helps reduce anxiety, remove toxins from the body, increase blood flow and calm the nervous system.  Small cups are placed on the surface of the skin while a vacuum creates a suction within the cup pulling your skin and superficial tissues inside.  The suctioned cups can be kept in place or gently moved around to create a very relaxing, reverse massage sensation.  

This treatment is great for athletes.  If you watched the Rio Olympics, you may have seen the red circular bruises on some of the Olympians, including Michael Phelps. This is a side effect of cupping.  Many athletes have used cupping to reduce muscle stiffness, alleviate tendonitis, and address the pain of overuse injuries.

Cupping will create normal circular bruising of the skin for 5-10 days after treatment. Once the marks are gone, another treatment can be repeated, until there is relief.  Cupping should not be used on patients who bleed easily, have skin ulcers or edema.  Pregnant women should use caution and avoid cupping on the low back and abdomen.  The benefits of cupping have not been scientifically proven, however supporters claim that it helps with a variety of health issues.

MEET OUR CUPPING SPECIALIST

Anne graduated from Mount St. Mary's College with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1999.  She began her career as a physical therapist, and also played professional beach volleyball on the AVP tour.  In her 15 years as a therapist, she has worked at several well known clinics in the Marina del Rey, Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades areas.  She has continued to play beach volleyball and improve her physical therapy skills, using her own experience with pain and learning what works to relieve it.  Anne started incorporating cupping into her treatments 10 years ago and finds it to be valuable in releasing tight tissues and relieving pain.  In her spare time, she enjoys supporting human and animal rights causes and doing her part to help change the world for the better. 

PRICING
